As for the OABSS, the VEL group showed significantly greater improvement than the TVT group. In the odds ratio analysis for the 1-h pad test, no differences in any of the parameters were observed between TVT and VEL. VEL may be considered an alternative to TVT for SUI treatment. There are inconclusive results regarding etching and bonding protocol…[Read more]

Th2/Th1 mix pathological pathway may be seen as a common set of low eosinophilic phenotype in severe allergic asthma. This may affect omalizumab treatment response. In our study, we aimed to investigate whether eosinophil count (EOS) and percentage (EOS%), eosinophil lymphocyte ratio (ELR) and neutrophil lymphocyte ratio (NLR) may predict…[Read more]

The first clinically approved engineered chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cell therapies are remarkably effective in a subset of hematological malignancies with few therapeutic options. Although these clinical successes have been exciting, CAR T cells have hit roadblocks in solid tumors that include the lack of highly tumor-specific antigens to…[Read more]

The biosynthesis of commercialized carotenoids (e.g., lycopene, β-carotene, zeaxanthin, and astaxanthin) using recombinant microorganisms is one of the reasonable and cost-effective alternatives to extraction from natural sources and chemical synthesis. Among heterologous hosts, Escherichia coli is one of the most useful and manageable. To date,…[Read more]

Two-dimensional transverse relaxation-optimized spectroscopy (TROSY) NMR spectra of stable-isotope labeled H1R show well-dispersed and resolved signals consistent with a properly folded protein, and 19F-NMR data register a response of the protein to differences in efficacies of bound ligands.Arterial stiffness (AS) is a complex vascular phenomenon…[Read more]
