Sharpen your pickaxes and keep an eye on Creepers as the cult construction and exploration Sandbox Minecraft is getting closer to its PlayStation 4 launch, according to an announcement from 4J Studios, the developer. 4J Studios.
“We’ve handed Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition over to Sony for a final test!” The message is posted along with the image above. As we reported last month, Minecraft: PlayStation 4 Edition includes a number of unique features including optional support for the DualShock 4 touchpad, save game transfers between PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and “a number of DLC that is exclusive to Sony coming soon after release.”
Once Minecraft is available on the PlayStation 4, those who own the game on PS3 will be capable of upgrading to the latest iteration for $5. Developer 4J Studios has yet to announce a date (or even a vague date) for the game’s launch date, but if there aren’t any issues during testing we’ll be hearing more soon.
