One diagnosis of cystic fibrosis involves measuring the nasal transepithelial potential difference (NPD) as a complementary technique in the forms of the disease, where the sweat test is non-discriminating. The NPD is measured using solutions with and without chlorides, containing a variety of substances whose activities on nasal mucus membranes are studied or assessed. Among the solutions described in the literature and used in specialized centers, none seems to be best adapted for industrial production for reasons of stability (formulas of the international consensus of Rowe et al. and formulas of Knowles et al.) and/or potential toxicity (formulas of Middleton et al.).

To perform an ergonomic intervention using the methodology of the analysis of the activity of the training process of clinical pharmacy residents in the analysis of prescriptions.
The evaluation was carried out over two semesters from May to October 2016 (first study) and from November 2016 to April 2017 (second study). The interviews and observations were conducted by an ergonomist who is an expert in this type of evaluation. The first study was based on observations of the training process and interviews at different time. The second study allowed to support pharmacists and evaluate the changes following the recommendations of the previous study.
A total of 6 and 9 residents participated in the first and second study, respectively. During the first study, 6 difficulties were raised which allowed implementation decisions. Feedback from residents on the training process was generally positive for the first part of the training but negative for the last part. The average number of fears expressed by the residents was higher at the beginning (2.9 fears) than at the end (1 fear).
The training process has been adapted to the expectations and feelings of the residents. Follow-up at the beginning and throughout the internship was essential. The next stage of this work will be to evaluate the contribution of the dashboards for monitoring clinical pharmacy skills in the new degree for hospital pharmacy.

It causes enormous crop loss through its direct feeding and as a vector of cotton leaf curl virus. Chemical-dependent management is harming the environment and increased insecticide resistance is often observed in the fields. Identification of most virulent strains of entomopathogenic fungi (EPF) is essential to serve as an important component of an IPM program for management of B. tabaci. Compared to B. tabaci adults, the nymphal stage is reported to be more susceptible to entomopathogens, and targeting nymphs also helps vector management. We evaluated the bioefficacy of EPF and chemical pesticides against nymphs of B. tabaci on Bt cotton under polyhouse and field conditions. The bioefficacy index (BI) was considered as a mechanism to select the most effective EPF strains for field evaluation. The highest nymphal mortality under polyhouse conditions was recorded for Metarhizium anisopliae NA-01299 (86.7%), Beauveria bassiana MT-4511 (85.1%), Cordyceps javanica IT-10498 (81.1%), IT-10499 (81%), and B. bassiana NA-0409 (78.2%) relative to other EPF strains, spiromesifen (69.6%), buprofezin (62.2%) and pyriproxyfen (52.7%) at 7-days-post-spray treatment (DAS). However, among all the EPF, the highest BI was recorded in C. javanica IT-10499 (77%), IT-10495 (75.4%), Fusarium verticillioides IT-10493 (74.6%), and B. bassiana MT-4511 (73.1%). The pooled data of two-year field trials (2017-18 & 2018-19) revealed that the highest nymphal mortality was recorded for MT-4511 (85%), IT-10499 (83.2%), and pyriproxyfen 10% EC (78.6%) at 7-DAS. The BI-based selection of EPF proved to be a useful predictor of field efficacy. A sequential spray of the selected EPF would be a vital approach for resilient and sustainable integrated management of the B. tabaci nymphal population under field conditions.Estradiol-17β (E2) regulates transcription of estrogen-responsive genes via estrogen receptors (Esr). In many teleost species, choriogenin (chg), vitellogenin (vtg) and esr genes are transactivated by E2 in the liver. This study aimed i) to compare expression properties of all subtypes of these genes (chg chgHα, chgHβ, chgL; vtg vtgAs, vtgC; esr esr1a, esr1b, esr2a, esr2b) in response to estrogen stimulation, and ii) to confirm how each of four Esr subtypes is involved in the transcriptional regulation of these estrogen-responsive genes in cutthroat trout hepatocytes. click here In hepatocytes in primary culture, all chg and vtg subtype mRNA levels, and those of esr1a, were increased by E2 treatment (10-6 M) at 24 and 72 h post initiation (hpi), but esr1b, esr2a and esr2b mRNA levels were not. Treatment of hepatocytes with various concentrations of E2 (10-11-10-6 M) induced dose-dependent increases in the levels of all chg and vtg subtype mRNAs at 24 and 72 hpi. Aluminum is a neurotoxic element that can accumulate in the brain and cause neurodegenerative disorders. In addition, the antioxidants found in pomegranate juice (PJ) are much more than those existing in other fruits. It was proven to provide protection against neurodegenerative diseases.
This experiment aimed to clarify the amelioration efficiency of PJ against aluminum chloride-induced neurobehavioral and biochemical disorders in female mice.
The female mice were given oral administrations for 35 days as follows. The control group received tap water, the PJ groups received 20% and 40% pomegranate juice, the aluminum chloride (AlCl
) group was treated with 400mg/kg AlCl
, and the last two groups received AlCl
+20% PJ and AlCl
+40% PJ, respectively. The neurobehavioral features were assessed by shuttle box, T-maze, and Morris water maze devices. Furthermore, the neurotransmitters and oxidative indicators in the brains of the female mice were determined at the end of experiment.
Significant effects of AlCl
were observed on female mice in the body weight, during the behavioral tasks (shuttle box, T-maze, and Morris water maze), and in neurotransmitters and oxidative stress parameters.
