In conclusion, the results of the present study indicate that increased linc00467 expression promotes metastasis by targeting miR-451a, which ultimately increases cellular proliferation and inhibits apoptosis in human CRC cells. The aim of the present study was to use The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database to identify tumor neoantigens, combined with a bioinformatics analysis to design and analyze antigen epitope peptides. Epitopes were screened using immunogenicity tests to identify the ideal epitope peptides to target tumor neoantigens, which can specifically activate the immune response of T cells. The high-frequency mutation loci (top 10) of colorectal, lung and liver cancer genes were screened using TCGA database. The antigenic epitope peptides with high affinity for major histocompatibility complex molecules were selected and synthesized using computer prediction algorithms, and were subsequently detected using flow cytometry. The cytotoxicity of specific cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTLs) on peptide-loaded T2 cells was initially verified using interferon IFN-γ detection and a calcein-acetoxymethyl (Cal-AM) release assay. Tumor cell lines expressing point mutations in KRAS, TP53 and CTNNB1 genes were constructed respectively, and when compared with the TP53 and KRAS groups, specific CTLs induced by mutant peptides in the CTNNB1 group had more potent cytotoxicity towards mutant and wild-type tumor cells. In conclusion, point mutant tumor neoantigens screened in the three groups improved the cytotoxicity of specific T cells, and the mutant peptides in the CTNNB1 group were more prominent, indicating that they may activate the cellular immune response more readily.Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is one of the most common chronic liver diseases and can lead to liver cirrhosis or liver cancer in severe cases. In recent years, the incidence of NAFLD has increased substantially. The trend has continued to increase and has become a key point of concern for health systems. NAFLD is often associated with metabolic abnormalities caused by increased visceral obesity, including insulin resistance, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis and systemic microinflammation. Therefore, the pathophysiological mechanisms of NAFLD must be clarified to develop new drug treatment strategies. Recently, researchers have conducted numerous studies on the pathogenesis of NAFLD and have identified various important regulatory factors and potential molecular mechanisms, providing new targets and a theoretical basis for the treatment of NAFLD. However, the pathogenesis of NAFLD is extremely complex and involves the interrelationship and influence of multiple organs and systems. Therefore, the condition must be explored further. In the present review, the abnormal metabolic process, including glucose, lipid, amino acid, bile acid and iron metabolism are reviewed. It was concluded that NAFLD is associated with an imbalanced metabolic network that involves glucose, lipids, amino acids, bile acids and iron, and lipid metabolism is the core metabolic process. The current study aimed to provide evidence and hypotheses for research and clinical treatment of NAFLD.Corneal astigmatism significantly compromises uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA) after phacoemulsification with implantation of traditional spherical or non-spherical monofocal intraocular lens (IOL). Toric IOL provides an effective way to gain favorable postoperative UCVA for the patients with cataracts with corneal astigmatism. There are numerous types of toric IOLs; however AcrySof® IQ toric IOL (Alcon Laboratories, Inc.) and TECNIS® toric IOL (Johnson & Johnson Vision; Johnson & Johnson) are most frequently used in our clinical practice. The purpose of the current study was to compare the clinical efficacy of AcrySof IQ with TECNIS toric IOL implantation, and to provide a clinical basis on selecting an appropriate toric IOL before cataract surgery for patients with corneal astigmatism. A total of 30 patients with cataract (44 eyes) with corneal astigmatism [0.82-7.27 diopters (D)], who have undergone phacoemulsification with toric IOL implantation between October 2012 and December 2017, were included in the±1.44 in the Tecnis group (P=0.260). The results of the current study indicated that patients with cataracts with corneal astigmatism undergoing phacoemulsification with AcrySof IQ and TECNIS toric IOL implantation achieved similar clinical efficacy in term of visual outcomes, refraction correction, CS, rotational stability and satisfaction. As intraocular pressure (IOP) is primarily higher in the morning, an evening dose of prostaglandin analogs is typically used as monotherapy to decrease IOP in patients with open-angle glaucoma. Travoprost (TV) has reported efficacy in treating open-angle glaucoma; however, the safety and efficacy may be different compared with that for latanoprost (LT). The aim of the present study was to compare the effectiveness and safety of an evening dose of TV compared with that of LT in treating open-angle glaucoma. Data including IOP, results of lid and slit-lamp examination and ophthalmoscopy, as well as adverse effects in 250 affected eyes from patients with open-angle glaucoma who received either TV (n=89) or LT (n=161) once in the evening for 3-months were included in the analyses. At the end of treatment, TV (23.45±1.52 vs. 19.15±1.01 mmHg; P0.05), except for non-visual acuity, for example hyperemia (P less then 0.0001 for both groups), while there was a significant increase in the number of patients with dry eyes receiving TV (P=0.020) and a significant increase with eyelid swelling (P=0.036) and headache (P=0.037) in patients receiving LT. In conclusion, evening doses of TV and LT had the same efficacy and manageable adverse effects in the treatment of open-angle glaucoma (level of evidence, 3).In the present study, the effect of procaine combined with ketamine and propofol in pediatric epidural anesthesia was analyzed. A total of 74 children scheduled to undergo surgery under epidural anesthesia were included in the study, and were divided into two groups using a random number table. BAY 85-3934 order Accordingly, 37 patients received epidural anesthesia using ketamine and propofol (control group), whereas the remaining patients received procaine combined with ketamine and propofol (observation group). The vital signs, sedative effects, anesthetic effects, pain intensity, anesthetic dose and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the groups. It was revealed that the heart rate and mean arterial pressure at T4 (following epidural administration) in the observation group was significantly lower compared with those of the control group (P0.05). Compared with the control group, the observation group reported a shorter latent period for the onset of the anesthetic effect and the disappearance of pain, and a longer period for the recovery of pain sensation (P less then 0.
