Mechanistically, SAA1 knockdown can inhibit serine/threonine protein kinase B (AKT) phosphorylation, thereby regulating the expression of apoptosis-related proteins such as Bcl2 and Bax, leading to GBM cell death. Here we aimed at assessing the diagnostic performance of these autoantibodies in breast cancer patients. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was applied to detect sera autoantibodies in 123 breast cancer patients and 123 age-matched normal controls. We adopted logistic regression analysis to identify optimized autoantibody biomarkers for diagnosis and receiver-operating characteristics to analyze diagnostic efficiency. Five of six autoantibodies, BMI-1, HSP70, NY-ESO-1, p53 and PRDX6 demonstrated significantly elevated serum levels in breast cancer compared to normal controls. An optimized panel composed of autoantibodies to BMI-1, HSP70, NY-ESO-1 and p53 showed an area under the curve (AUC) of 0.819 (95% CI 0.766-0.873), 63.4% sensitivity and 90.2% specificity for diagnosing breast cancer. Moreover, this autoantibody panel could differentiate patients with early stage breast cancer from normal controls, with AUC of 0.805 (95% CI 0.743-0.886), 59.6% sensitivity and 90.2% specificity. However, the patients’ response rates to current anti-PD-1 or anti-PD-L1 therapies are still low and many initial responders finally develop resistance to these therapies. A few studies reported that LINC01296 acted as an oncogenic regulator of cancer. However, its in-depth specific biological mechanism in tumor metastasis is still unknown. Methods Real-time quantitative PCR (qPCR) was performed to detect the expression of LINC01296 and miR-141-3p in NSCLC, CRC tissues and cell lines, and the dual luciferase report was used to evaluate the relationship between LINC01296, miR-141-3p and ZEB1/ZEB2 relationship. This study was performed to determine the prognostic potential of integrating EBV DNA levels in plasma measured pre-treatment (pre-EBV) and 3 months post-treatment (3 m-EBV). Materials and methods A total of 543 incident non-metastatic NPC patients treated with intensity-modulated radiotherapy, with or without chemotherapy, were reviewed. Patients were divided into four subgroups based on pre-EBV and 3 m-EBV status. The data for pre-EBV and 3 m-EBV samples were integrated, and the predictability of the survival of patients with NPC was analyzed. Results There were significant differences in the 5-year progression-free survival, distant metastasis-free survival, locoregional relapse-free survival, and overall survival among the four patient subgroups (P less then 0.001). learn more Patients who tested negative for both pre-EBV and 3 m-EBV had the best prognosis, followed by patients who tested positive for pre-EBV and negative for 3 m-EBV, and those who tested negative for pre-EBV and positive for 3 m-EBV; however, patients who tested positive for both pre-EBV and 3 m-EBV had the poorest chances of survival.
