    22. Longitudinally, service member PTSD symptom scores higher than their personal average predicted subsequent increases in partner accommodation, β = .19, but not vice versa, β = .03. Overall, the findings indicate both stable and time-specific significant associations between service member PTSD symptoms and partner accommodation and suggest that higher levels of PTSD symptoms are a significant driver of later increases in partner accommodation. These findings add further support for treating PTSD in an interpersonal context to address the disorder and concomitant relational processes that can adversely impact individual and relational well-being.Orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT) is the only definitive treatment option for many patients with end-stage liver disease. Current supply of donor livers for OLT is not keeping up with the growing demand. To overcome this problem, a number of experimental strategies have been developed either to provide a bridge to transplant for patients on the waiting list or to bioengineer whole livers for OLT by replenishing them with fresh supplies of hepatic cells. In recent years, blastocyst complementation has emerged as the most promising approach for generating whole organs and, in combination with gene editing technology, it has revolutionized regenerative medicine. This methodology was successful in producing xenogeneic organs in animal hosts. Blastocyst complementation has the potential to produce whole livers in large animals that could be xenotransplanted in humans, thereby reducing the shortage of livers for OLT. However, significant experimental and ethical barriers remain for the production of human livers in domestic animals, such as the pig. This review summarizes the current knowledge and provides future perspectives for liver xenotransplantation in humans.There has been an increase in hepatitis B (HBV) detection during pregnancy in the United States and an emphasis on measures to decrease mother-to-child transmission of HBV. We performed a multicentre retrospective study (2015-2018) evaluating care among all women with HBV during pregnancy. We determined rates and predictors of adherence to key maternal care measures including (1) referral to HBV specialty care, (2) assessment of HBV DNA, and (3) initiation of antiviral therapy, and (4) rates of HBIG and HBV vaccine completion in infants. We evaluated two interventions to improve HBV care (1) clinical decision support with best practice alert and (2) co-location of HBV care in obstetrics department. We identified 372 women with HBV during pregnancy. Patients had a median age of 33 (IQR 29, 36), were mostly of Asian (49%) or Black (36%) race, HBeAg-negative (83%) with HBV DNA ≤2000 IU/mL (65%) and maximum ALT ≤25 (66%). Regarding care measures, 62% were referred to an HBV specialist, 85% had HBV DNA checked during pregnancy and 68% with HBV DNA ≥200,000 were initiated on antiviral therapy. Co-located obstetric-liver diseases clinics appeared to improve adherence to maternal care measures. All infants received HBIG and the first HBV vaccine dose, 106 (81%) received the second, 94 (74%) received the 3rd dose, but fewer at the recommended time intervals. We identified clear gaps in adherence to HBV care measures for both mothers and infants. Co-location of HBV care in the obstetrics department shows promise in improving adherence to maternal care measures.A Sri Lankan male child with supraorbital hyperostosis, broad nasal bridge, small mandible, severe kyphoscoliosis, distal joint contractures of the hands and long second and third toes is described. Although this region has experienced rapid and widespread changes in vegetation phenology and productivity over the last several decades, the specific climatic drivers responsible for this change remain poorly understood. Here we quantified the effect of winter snowpack and early spring temperature conditions on growing season vegetation phenology (timing of the start, peak, and end of the growing season) and productivity of the dominant tundra vegetation communities of Arctic Alaska. We used daily remotely sensed normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI), and daily snowpack and temperature variables produced by SnowModel and MicroMet, coupled physically based snow and meteorological modeling tools, to (1) determine the most important snowpack and thermal controls on tundra vegetation phenology and productivity and (2) describe the direction of these relationships within each vegetation community. Our results show that soil temperature under the snowpack, snowmelt timing, and air temperature following snowmelt are the most important drivers of growing season timing and productivity among Arctic vegetation communities. Air temperature after snowmelt was the most important control on timing of season start and end, with warmer conditions contributing to earlier phenology in all vegetation communities. In contrast, the controls on the timing of peak season and productivity also included snowmelt timing and soil temperature under the snowpack, dictated in part by the snow insulating capacity. The results of this novel analysis suggest that while future warming effects on phenology may be consistent across communities of the tundra biome, warming may result in divergent, community-specific productivity responses if coupled with reduced snow insulating capacity lowers winter soil temperature and potential nutrient cycling in the soil.Ovarian cancer is one of the most frequent carcinomas in females, and the occurrence rate is still rising despite many advances made. The pathogenesis of ovarian cancer remains greatly unclear. Here, we investigated the mechanisms of ovarian cancer, with the focus on circATRNL1. Hippo activator Human ovarian cancer tissues and cell lines were used to examine levels of circATRNL1, miR-378, Smad4, AKT, and other proliferation-related and migration-related proteins. Cellular assays were used to determine cancer cell proliferation, invasion, migration, apoptosis, and angiogenesis. We validated the interactions of circATRNL1/miR-378 and miR-378/Smad4, and a mouse tumor xenograft model was employed to assess the effect of circATRNL1 on tumor growth and metastasis in vivo. We found that circATRNL1 was decreased while miR-378 was increased in human ovarian cancer tissues and cells. circATRNL1 bound to miR-378 while miR-378 directly targeted Smad4. Overexpression of circATRNL1 or knockdown of miR-378 suppressed angiogenesis and ovarian cancer cell proliferation, invasion, and migration via decreasing proliferation- and migration-related proteins via miR-378 or Smad4, respectively. Overexpression of circATRNL1 restrained ovarian cancer growth and abdominal metastasis in vivo. The Full Paper itself is available at 10.1002/cssc.202002113.Image-guided, intensity modulated radiation therapy (IG-IMRT) reduces dose to pelvic organs at risk without losing dose coverage to the planning target volume (PTV) and might permit margin reductions potentially resulting in lower toxicity. Appropriate PTV margins have not been established for IG-IMRT in abdominopelvic tumours in dogs, and herein we explore if our usual PTV 5 mm margin can be reduced further. Datasets from dogs that underwent IG-IMRT for non-genitourinary abdominopelvic neoplasia with 5 mm-PTV expansion were included in this retrospective virtual study. The clinical target volumes and organs at risk (OAR) colon, rectum, spinal cord were adapted to each co-registered cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) used for positioning. New treatment plans were generated and smaller PTV margins of 3 mm and 4 mm evaluated with respect to adequate dose coverage and normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) of OAR. Ten dogs with a total of 70 CBCTs were included. Doses to the OAR of each CBCT deviated mildly from the originally planned doses. In some plans, insufficient build-up of the high dose-area at the body surface was found due to inadequate or missing bolus placement. Overall, the margin reduction to 4 mm or 3 mm did not impair dose coverage and led to significantly lower NTCP in all OAR except for spinal cord delayed myelopathy. However, overall NTCP for spinal cord was very low ( less then 4%). PTV-margins depend on patient immobilization and treatment technique and accuracy. IG-IMRT allows treatment with very small margins in the abdominopelvic region, ensuring appropriate target dose coverage, while minimizing NTCP.Solar-driven syngas production by CO2 reduction provides a sustainable strategy to produce renewable feedstocks. However, this promising reaction often suffers from tough CO2 activation, sluggish oxidative half-reaction kinetics and undesired by-products. Herein, we report a function-oriented strategy of deliberately constructing black phosphorus quantum dots-ZnIn2 S4 (BP/ZIS) heterostructures for solar-driven CO2 reduction to syngas, paired with selectively oxidative C-N bond formation, in one redox cycle. The optimal BP/ZIS heterostructure features the enhanced charge-carrier separation and enriched active sites for cooperatively photocatalytic syngas production with a tunable ratio of CO/H2 and efficient oxidation of amines to imines with high conversion and selectivity. This prominent catalytic performance arises from the efficient electronic coupling between black phosphorus quantum dots and ZnIn2 S4 , as well as the optimized adsorption strength for key reaction intermediates, as supported by both experimental and theoretical investigations. We also demonstrate a synergistic interplay between CO2 reduction and amine dehydrogenation oxidation, rather than simply collecting these two single half-reactions in this dual-functional photoredox system.Avian egg coloration is shaped by natural selection, but its genetic basis remains unclear. Here, we used genome-wide association analysis and identity by descent to finely map green egg colour to a 179-kb region of Chr4 based on the resequencing of 352 ducks (Anas platyrhynchos) from a segregating population resulting from the mating of Pekin ducks (white-shelled eggs) and mallards (green-shelled eggs). We further narrowed the candidate region to a 30-kb interval by comparing genome divergence in seven indigenous duck populations. Among the genes located in the finely mapped region, only one transcript of the ABCG2 gene (XM_013093252.2) exhibited higher uterine expression in green-shelled individuals than in white-shelled individuals, as supported by transcriptome data from four populations. ABCG2 has been reported to encode a protein that functions as a membrane transporter for biliverdin. Sanger sequencing of the whole 30-kb candidate region (Chr4 47.41-47.44 Mb) and a plasmid reporter assay helped to identify a single nucleotide polymorphism (Chr4 47,418,074 G>A) located in a conserved predicted promoter region whose variation may alter ABCG2 transcription activity.
