    Since the implementation of China’s two-child policy in 2016, the number of re-pregnant women after cesarean section has increased significantly. These women are more prone to fear of childbirth compared with primiparas due to their history of scarred uterus leading to a more complicated delivery process, which poses a great threat to their physical and mental health. However, there is currently limited research on the problem in China. The aim of this study was to assess fear of childbirth and its predictors in re-pregnant women after cesarean section in China.

    A cross-sectional multicenter study was conducted in three hospitals from June 7 to December 7, 2020, in Changsha, China. Study hospitals were selected using a random sampling technique. Participants were selected using a convenience sampling technique. Three hundred fifty-eight women during the third trimester of pregnancy who were older than 18 years, having a history of CS(s), and not having major physical or mental health problems were includeial support were predictors of fear of childbirth. It is important for healthcare professionals to find re-pregnant women after cesarean section at high risk of fear of childbirth and provide appropriate services during pregnancy.

    Areca nut (AN) is an addictive substance consumed in the Southeast region and is highly associated with oral premalignant lesions and oral cancer. The impact of AN use in the United States (US) is largely unknown, but the products are readily available and probably used by a significant fraction of Asian immigrants or descendants living in the US. We aimed at assessing AN use prevalence among the Asian community in Houston, Texas.

    A cross-sectional questionnaire was used to interview adult individuals (≥ 18years of age) who self-identified as Asian immigrants or descendants residing in Houston. Means, frequencies, and proportions were reported. Factors associated with AN use were evaluated using logistic regression.

    We surveyed 275 individuals (58% women, 43% between 35-54years old, 67% born outside of the US, and 6% concurrent smokers). Among respondents, 91% were familiar with AN products, 17% self-reported ever use of AN products in the US, and 31% had friends/family members who were AN ever users. AN use was significantly associated with being Indian Subcontinent immigrants or descendants (ISID) (OR = 3·9; CI 1·10,13·81; p = 0·035) and having friends/family members using AN products (OR = 6·2; CI 1·69, 22·69; p = 0·006).

    Our findings provide quantitative data on the prevalence of AN ever use and context for future AN prevention and cessation interventions specific to the Southeast Asian groups living in the US mainland. This is crucial for the prevention and control of oral cancer and other detrimental conditions related to AN consumption.

    Stomach adenocarcinoma (STAD) is one of the most common and deadly cancers worldwide. Recent evidence has demonstrated that dysregulation of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNA) is associated with different hallmarks of cancer. lncRNAs also were suggested as novel promising biomarkers for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Despite these previous investigations, the expression pattern, diagnostic role, and hallmark association of lncRNAs in STAD remain unclear.

    In this study, The STAD lncRNA-mRNA network was constructed based on RNAs that differentially expressed among tumor and normal samples and had a strong expression correlation with others. The high degree nodes of the network were associated with overall survival. In addition, we found that the hubs’ regulatory roles have previously been confirmed in different types of cancers by literature. For example, the HCG22 hub inhibited cell proliferation and invasion and induced apoptosis in oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) cells.     In April 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) Information Network for Epidemics produced an agenda for managing the COVID-19 infodemic. “Infodemic” refers to the overabundance of information-including mis- and disinformation. In this agenda it was pointed out the need to create a competency framework for infodemic management (IM). This framework was released by WHO on 20th September 2021. This paper presents the WHO framework for IM by highlighting the different investigative steps behind its development.

    The framework was built through three steps. Step 1 included the preparatory work following the guidelines in the Guide to writing Competency Framework for WHO Academy courses. Step 2 was based on a qualitative study with participants (N = 25), identified worldwide on the basis of their academic background in relevant fields of IM or of their professional experience in IM activities at the institutional level. The interviews were conducted online between December 2020 and January 2021, they were vidulatory document nor a training curriculum. As a WHO initiative, it serves as a reference tool to be applied according to local priorities and needs within the different countries. This framework can assist institutions in strengthening IM capacity by hiring, staff development, and human resources planning.

    Monitoring of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is of great importance due to the frequency of strains becoming increasingly resistant to antibiotics. This review, using a public health focused approach, which aims to understand and describe the current status of AMR in Morocco in relation to WHO priority pathogens and treatment guidelines.

    PubMed, ScienceDirect and Google Scholar Databases and grey literature are searched published articles on antimicrobial drug resistance data for GLASS priority pathogens isolated from Morocco between January 2011 and December 2021. Articles are screened using strict inclusion/exclusion criteria. AMR data is extracted with medians and IQR of resistance rates.

    Forty-nine articles are included in the final analysis. The most reported bacterium is Escherichia coli with median resistance rates of 90.9%, 64.0%, and 56.0%, for amoxicillin, amoxicillin-clavulanic acid, and co-trimoxazole, respectively. Colistin had the lowest median resistance with 0.1%. A median resistance of 63.0% is calculated for amoxicillin-clavulanic acid in Klebsiella pneumonia. Imipenem resistance with a median of 74.5% is reported for Acinetobacter baumannii. AMR data for Streptococcus pneumonie does not exceed 50.0% as a median.

    To create an electronic frailty index (eFRAGICAP) using electronic health records (EHR) in Catalunya (Spain) and assess its predictive validity with a two-year follow-up of the outcomes homecare need, institutionalization and mortality in the elderly.     Immune status in the tumor microenvironment is an important determinant of cancer progression and patient prognosis. Although a higher immune activity is often associated with a better prognosis, this trend is not absolute and differs across cancer types. We aimed to give insights into why some cancers do not show better survival despite higher immunity by assessing the relationship between different biological factors, including cytotoxicity, and patient prognosis in various cancer types using RNA-seq data collected by The Cancer Genome Atlas.

    Results showed that a higher immune activity was associated with worse overall survival in patients with uveal melanoma and low-grade glioma, which are cancers of immune-privileged sites. In these cancers, epithelial or endothelial mesenchymal transition and inflammatory state as well as immune activation had a notable negative correlation with patient survival. Further analysis using additional single-cell data of uveal melanoma and glioma revealed that epithelial or endothelial mesenchymal transition was mainly induced in retinal pigment cells or endothelial cells that comprise the blood-retinal and blood-brain barriers, which are unique structures of the eye and central nervous system, respectively.
